The essential ingredients of ancient and contemporary shamanic trance states are fully activated in this highly potent new release. Byron carved out a collection of incredible trance grooves for nearly a year, eventually bringing in the prana-infused didgeridoo of Dashmesh Khalsa on every track. Steve joined on in early January 2010 and poured his heart and soul-drenched soundworlds into the six pieces, covering a full range of ecstatic dreamtime flow: rhythm, breath and expansion.

The end result is a full-blown dreamtime alchemy of all the elements. The living, breathing percussion, didgeridoo and soundworlds are unified in a single purpose: to open to the door out of the ordinary world – initiating the listener into an empowered journey of infinite possibilities for spiritual rebirth, illumination, and transcendence. In 2015, Michael Allison (of Darshan Ambient) created the original soundtrack for the Civil War era documentary REMEMBER THE SULTANA, which chronicles the ill-fated voyage of the steamboat Sultana that resulted in the largest maritime disaster in American History.

Inspired by the film’s subject matter, Michael recorded a poignant and beautiful score for the documentary and released it as a soundtrack album in late 2015. However, after the score was complete, the music continued to flow, and Michael had much more material than could be used in the film. So when the time came to begin work on the next Darshan Ambient album, Michael decided to make it a companion work; a collection of music that had been created during the Sultana sessions, along with additional tracks that continued to spring forward from the energy of the film project even after it had been completed.

The Sultana’s somber story of a forgotten tragedy sets the stage for minimalist orchestrations and touching melodic piano moments that linger within the more introspective and mysterious realms of the classic Darshan Ambient sound. This electronic symphonic ambient textural work, emotively conveys Allison’s deeper appreciation of being thoroughly immersed into such a thought provoking experience, where the glow of history’s flame ignites present-day emotion.

FIRE LIGHT: Music from the Sultana sessions is Darshan Ambient’s 9th studio album, and comes just six months after the release of REMEMBER THE SULTANA: Original soundtrack from the film.

The last survivors of the human race drift through a mega-spaceship-city between the galaxies, hoping to get a viable planet on their way. Since many generations, they have been traveling the Earth behind them so long ago that a group of travelers are looking at the Earth with a religious devotion, which lives in them as a synonym for Heaven. They believe that once everybody can return to the planet.

On spaceship-city there is also a legend that there is a mother ship called Amygdala that has the right technology and coordinates to reach the Earth again. The mega-spacecraft is run by the State-Company, whose leaders try to hide the past, and according to propaganda, there is neither the Earth nor the mother ship. But on every platform, they communicate the amazing days of the space city, leaching the minds of those living there. Meanwhile, a secret organization sends volunteer lonely astronauts (Voyagers) to the various directions of the star system, searching for a living planet.

One of them found a gigantic asteroid with strange signs. After the landing, he found the source on the basis of the signals: a huge strange object on its side with an inscription: AMYGDALA
