Work on Kutumba began in late 2018, when Richard Gannaway, co-founder of AO Music, travelled 6000 miles from his hometown in Asheville, North Carolina to Abakan, Siberia, to record The Zvony Folk Children’s Ensemble for this track, “Nashu”. The trip, coordinated by longtime collaborator, Siberian multi-instrumentalist and composer Nadishana, was such a success that “Nashu” earned its place as the opening track on the album.
A pan-cultural world music outfit known for its exotic rhythms, cinematic cosmopolitan textures, and multi-layered -- and multi-lingual -- vocals, AO Music (most often referred to as simply AO) was founded in 1996 by St. Louis, Missouri natives Richard Gannaway and Jay Oliver. Gannaway, a multi-instrumentalist composer/producer and co-founder of indie rockers Tiger & the Helix, and Oliver, a keyboardist/Producer who had worked alongside jazz greats like Maynard Ferguson and Chick Corea, had a shared interest in artists who drew inspiration from world music traditions like Peter Gabriel, Deep Forest, Bill Whelan, and Värttinä.
Looking to perfect their own unique hybrid style, the duo released their debut album, Grow Wild, via Gannaway's Arcturian Gate label in 2000. The following year saw the group traveling to Southeast Asia, and while abroad, they were contacted by the Beijing Olympic Committee, which led to a job composing theme music for the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Bollywood film composer Sandeep Chowta joined the group as a contributing producer in 2004, and two years later renowned South African-born British singer and composer Miriam Stockley joined the fold. In 2009 the group released their long-awaited sophomore LP, Twirl, followed in 2011 by the acclaimed ...And Love Rages On!. Hokulea arrived in 2014, and in 2017 they released their ambitious fifth studio long player, Asha. In addition to their musical work, AO operates the AO Foundation International, a non-profit organization for children orphaned by natural disaster and conflict.

Ra Ma Da Sa is also known as the Siri Gaitri mantra, a kundalini yoga mantra that is said to be one of the most powerful mantras we know of. Yogi Bhajan said this mantra offers radiant energy and self-healing to those who sing it.
◼︎·-·=»‡ Translation ‡«=·-·◼︎
Ra = the Sun: Connecting with the frequency of light.
Ma = the Moon: Becoming receptive & open.
Da = the Earth: Rooting and grounding.
Sa = Infinity: Rising upwards and outwards drawing in the healing energy of the Universe.
When you chant „Sa“ a second time, you pull the energy of Infinity into you.
Say: Is a way of honoring the all-encompassing Thou. It is personal,
like a secret name for God.
So: Is the vibrating energy of merging - the different worlds coming together.
Hung = the vibrating real: Calling on the essence of creation.
Let yourself go with the flow of these psychedelic bass sounds and groovy rhythms and get fully immersed in the swamp of deep organic frequencies. The flow will never end.

The last survivors of the human race drift through a mega-spaceship-city between the galaxies, hoping to get a viable planet on their way. Since many generations, they have been traveling the Earth behind them so long ago that a group of travelers are looking at the Earth with a religious devotion, which lives in them as a synonym for Heaven. They believe that once everybody can return to the planet.
On spaceship-city there is also a legend that there is a mother ship called Amygdala that has the right technology and coordinates to reach the Earth again. The mega-spacecraft is run by the State-Company, whose leaders try to hide the past, and according to propaganda, there is neither the Earth nor the mother ship. But on every platform, they communicate the amazing days of the space city, leaching the minds of those living there. Meanwhile, a secret organization sends volunteer lonely astronauts (Voyagers) to the various directions of the star system, searching for a living planet.
One of them found a gigantic asteroid with strange signs.
After the landing, he found the source on the basis of the signals: a huge strange object on its side with an inscription: AMYGDALA
AUM is a Sanskrit word, a syllable. A Sanskrit word or a syllable has a special significance and a creative power. AUM is the Mother of all sounds. When we chant AUM, what actually happens is that we bring down Peace and Light from above and create a universal harmony within and without us. When we repeat AUM, both our inner and outer beings become inspired and surcharged with a divine feeling and aspiration. AUM has no equal. AUM has infinite power. Just by repeating AUM, we can realise God.
When you chant AUM, try to feel that it is God who is climbing up and down within you. Hundreds of seekers in India have realised God simply by repeating AUM. AUM is the symbol of God, the Creator.
One can speak and write for hours about AUM. The main thing, my personal feeling, is that when you repeat AUM, please try to observe what actually happens. If you repeat the name of a cat, a dog or a monkey, or even of an ordinary person, you get no inspiration. But when you utter AUM which is the symbol of the Creator, the life-breath of the Creator, you immediately get an inner feeling, the feeling that inspires your inner and outer movements to enlarge your vision and fulfil your life here on earth. This is the secret of AUM. If you want to cherish a secret all your life, then here is the secret. Please chant AUM and everything is yours. - Sri Chinmoy
Music educator and relaxation artist Stephen Rhodes was born in Birmingham, later relocating with his family to Aldridge, England. He felt a strong urge from a young age to become a professional musician. Rhodes sensed that his calling would be to compose, record, and teach others. In his compositions he relies on visualization techniques, picturing peaceful and serene surroundings, then "composing" that picture.
From early on in his career, Rhodes has delighted in hearing his fans recount imagining a similar image to that which inspired the piece. Rhodes is a Yamaha Music School teacher, and education has long played an important role in his career — empowering others to express themselves through music and composition is a natural extension of his lifelong commitment to bettering people's lives with music.
Rhodes formed a relationship in the '80s with the New World Music label, a company specializing in publications furthering mind-body-spirit health, including relaxation music. His first album released by the label, entitled Perfume, was written to inspire calm, quiet confidence and contentment. Like many subsequent releases, Perfume would become popular in meditation and relaxation music listening communities worldwide.
Though New World Music artists tend to rely on their domestic British fan base, Rhodes' music appears on new age charts the world over. With nearly a dozen productions to his credit in a career that has spanned better than two decades, Stephen Rhodes is an important voice in therapeutic music.
Here it is after a long long road of gathering all the ingredients:
The 100th release for Merkaba Music.
A stunning comp of 40 songs that spans most of the labels vibes and diversity.
